What is Breaking Down?
BREAKING DOWN is a Japanese amateur kickboxing and mixed martial arts tournament. The president is Mikuru Asakura, and special advisors are Kai Asakura and Rikuto Shirakawa.
The concept of the tournament is “The strongest fighter for one minute”. The concept of the tournament is to “decide the strongest fighter for one minute.
The event is named “BREAKING DOWN” with the meaning of continuing to break down the conventional image of martial arts and fighters.
People with various backgrounds such as brawlers, boxers, karate fighters, kick boxers, judoists, Nippon Kempo, sumo wrestlers, arm wrestlers, pro wrestlers, rugger men, track and field athletes, YouTubers, TikTokers, porn stars, and dancers will gather to compete in “1 minute 1 round”.
Before the competition, an audition is held to screen prospective contestants, and the participants appeal themselves to the audience.
A martial arts arena is also set up, where participants compete against each other on the spot to see how good they are, and the winner may win the right to participate in the tournament, or the participants who wish to compete against each other may agree to do so and their participation is immediately decided.

Breaking Down Rules
In regular matches, 1 minute and 1 round shall be played, with an extra round in the event of a draw by decision.
The match format for special fights and tournament style fights shall conform to each special rule.
Open finger gloves must be worn.
The fighters will be divided into 12 weight classes.
